Hi ya'll,

I'm new to Oregon and I've got issues...

I have some pretty bad anxiety. I get panic attacks from stress. I've got a short list of psychological disorders. Including OCD and ADHD.

Anyways I've been using MMJ for about 6 years. I was able to stop taking all my prescribed meds about 4-5 years ago. I started to develop a fear of doctors after having numerous bad experiences at the dentists office, and a bad knee surgery where I recieved 3 extra screws in my knee that wern't neccesary and a graph recomended for inactive people over the age of 60 accoording to atleast 3 other surgeons (I'm 22 and a die hard snowboarder so I ended up blowing my knee again...).

I know I don't qualify for the OMMP with my psychological problems and my knee is for the most part fine minus a rare ache or pain since my second surgery. However. I have started conquering my fears and going back to the doctors for back pains that keep occuring and lasting for several days. I'm currently being prescribed Flexeril and Motrin. I know I have muscle spasms I don't know why yet. I'm not sure if I have any conclusive medical records that will qualify me for the OMMP.

I guess my real question is how much medical records do you need to qualify for the OMMP?

I know I benefit from MMJ. I just don't know what to do. I'm scared though because i'm not "legal". I'm not gona subject my self to taking Motrin all the time for the pain, and i'm not going to take muscle relaxers in the morning or durring the day... http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif Thus MMJ plays its roll in my overal well being in this aspect.

I've recently started to try and contact THCF but am afraid to make an appointment because of this dillema. Do I qualify for MMJ under the OMMP? Do I have sufficient medical records? Will I waste time and money just to be denied?

Try going to the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program Website, and see if it lists all the current accepted conditions.
Here is that link for you. Good luck Crazyman.

What conditions qualify for medical marijuana?

Chronic pain, chronic nausea, AIDS, cancer, glaucoma, hepatitis, chronic muscle spasms and other spastic disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, seizure disorders, such as epilepsy, gastrointestinal disorders, such as IBS, Crohn's disease and the inability to eat, or patients who have medical treatments for other conditions that cause one of these conditions.

I recommend getting in touch with the THC Foundation in Portland.

If you have a qualifying medical condition they will let you know

Yeah I'm going to talk to them tomarrow. They called me earlier today but I missed it. I haven't been diagnosed with any "condition" thats part of the problem... The doc says there muscle spasms but I doubt he listed them as chronic. I've only been to the docs office here in OR once for my Flexeril Rx. I did go to a walk in clinic they told me I should go to PT and take Motrin... I can't afford PT(physical theropy).
