http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif If I was'nt already committed to an Childrens Christmas Party on the 10th of Dec.
I would of been more than glad to help out in any way. I am a Caterer the party I'm in charge of is for 100 foster kids. I am sending home a homemade goodie box with each foster
family. Plust the kids will decorate cookies and cupkakes and crafts. I've been working on this project since January 3rd my self. Getting donations, putting on functions to raise money. It's been a tough year doing this takes a lot of time. Maybe next time I will beable
to help out. Sorry I would of liked to of helped. Good Luck though. It all maybe alot of work but the reward you get when you see the kids's faces makes it all worth it.

is there any way to get an idea of the ages of kids you need things for? there's a huge difference between what you get a 12 yr old and 2 yr old! is there going to be like a 6 month to 16 yr old age range? are the majority of the kids ages 3-5? a little guidance on what is needed since i am so far away would be greatly appreciated.

"The ages of the children we plan to give to are between 0 & 12. We will also have a special donation box for those of you who don't like to shop. "

just in case anyone else had the same question

This is for the kids and the familys. There are a lot of you out there. We had over 48 kids last year at the party. We hope to have more this year. Don't be shy this is what OGF is all about.

If anyone has problems downloading the files let me know and we will help you out.

One more thing - I thought last year it was for needy families specifically but since have come to understand it is for everyone! I want my children to participate with children of like minded families but can bring their present and I would LOVE to see a great Christmas/soltice/hannakah/winter for all the kids no matter what financial situation they may come from!!!!!! What should I plan to do here?

Another thought is gift cards for places like Target, Walmart, Kmart, etc. That way clothes, personal items can be selected by the individual. I think this is really good for kids about 10 and up. Also fast food rerstaurants, Organic stores or what ever. And activities like bowling, movies, Wunderland, Zoo or mini-golf. http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif The list is endless with tons of possibilities.Good Days, Correna420 http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

can we do that, kristi? Bring our own kids presents? I thought we were supposed to send money. What are all our options as far as that goes? I'd like to pay for my own kids presents, and also donate a little. How should this be done?

Usually by 13 the Santa part has kind of worn off so we restriced the age because of that. However it does not mean they are left out. Let us know and we will see what we can do.

Last year we collected and gave out over $1000 worth of gifts and toys to the kids. I hope we can do even better this year.

since this IS a smoke free event, can I bring some medibles? I probably won't be able to bring enough for everyone, but surely enough for several of us...maybe 15 or so. If it's not allowed, I understand. Also, I was thinking of bringing some fun shaped organic pb and j sandwiches for kids...would this be ok?
