Can somebody please tell me how to save my important PMs and clean out my messages at the same time?
My message box is almost full and the last time I just deleted everything, but I do not want to do that this time.

Check, or UN check boxes on the right corner of the PM area...on each message title in your message box, at the extreme right there is a box, either check it, or uncheck it if you want it saved/left where its at!!!
then at the bottom of the page, again to the right, there is a pull down window, hit that..and choose delete then hit "GO"....

I wish we could purchase mailbox space with donations to OGF.

All you have to do to save the ones you want someplace else is right click and highlite, then click copy and then paste them in notepad in any folder you want to save them in.

I was going to mention that option too, but....since they were asking such a question, I thought I'd keep it as simple as possible!!! ;)

Theres an easier way. First delete all the unwanted messages as Sportster suggested. Then for the remaining messages, there is an option just below the page numbers in the lower-right that will allow you to save the messages to your local computer. Look for:
Download all Private Messages as:
XML (http://www.oregongreenfree.net/forums/private.php?do=downloadpm&dowhat=xml) | CSV (http://www.oregongreenfree.net/forums/private.php?do=downloadpm&dowhat=csv) | Text (http://www.oregongreenfree.net/forums/private.php?do=downloadpm&dowhat=txt)
Click Text. A box will pop up asking you where on your computer you want to save the messages. After you save them you can delete the remaining messages if you wish and totally clear your PM box.

I am moving this thread to the tutorials section as I think its a good question and others might want to know. It will make it easier to find.
