It's amazing how our US senators and Representatives take weeks or months to debate a bill, yet our State people make decisions sometimes in just a few hours or days.Looks like their minds are made up before we even know about them alot of the times.Looks like by showing up in mass numbers scare them and makes them hurry the bills thru before the majority of the people of the state find out them.I believe the interview with Jim(future Burt Reynolds TV star)scared them and they want to move on these bills before the general public finds out what their doing.I bet the bills we want to pass will be placed on the bottom of the pile and they will drag their feet to even discuss them.JMHO Mike

Senator Metsger and the Coalition for a DRUGfree workplace were scared yesterday by how RIGHT WE WERE!
This bill was pushed for vote tomorrow just because of the fact that the hearing was STANDING ROOM ONLY and OVERFLOWING with good paitents and supporters that know what descrimination is and that know how wrong bill 465 is.
Their greed is all more powerful than their sense of what is right or wrong!

Who is the lobbyist for the Coalition for a DRUGfree workplace and who are the primary contributing members?
It would be interesting to find the lobbyist client list.

yes, yes it would...i have tried and have thus far failed. even the secretary of state's office was not forthcoming...if anybody has any luck here..please post it ASAP
the names that pop up as suspect are:
NFIB a fed agency
serenity lane
oregon med labs
Lynn McNamara, (possibly the same one as is with the "league of Oregon cities")
AOI, historically a strong anti cannabis group..really they should consider hiring robots or some other obedient controllable non thinking non emotional "productive unit"
i think there is at least one other group that is known..and that may be all there is..but i want to know one way or the other.

WE can email our thoughts on sb465 all night long.
They will have a plethora of emails waiting in the morning asking for them to stomp on this one. Pay close attention to WHO votes for what. I think we should make a concerted effort state wide to get rid of those that vote for this one.
If it does pass the senate we will mobilize for the house action.
This bill discriminates against patients with disabilities and is in direct conflict with the OMMA law, where marijuana is to be treated like any other medicine.
I have had to drug test for jobs in the past....what a place for people to be...watching you piss in a bottle...I would sure hate that JOB!!
