~Warm joyful wishes~

I went to Hawaii last year and met Roger Christi who is head of the THC Church there and is in charge of US missions. Very cool guy! He anointed me with some of the "Exodus" oil and I was very impressed to say the least!!

There are missions all over the US for the Church THC. With the Supreme court ruling last year permitting the Church of Brazil to open in Arizona and use oral "DMT" as part of their services, seems cannabis is a shoe in! After all in the Old Testament it lists cannabis as a healing oientment if that doesn't set religious precedence for our wonderful healing herb I don't know what would.

There are a few of us interested in opening 1 here in Portland. It could serve as another point to deceminate educational materials on the healing aspects of cannabis and how to utilize the OMMP program. Some of us are interested in furthering the reasearch on the healing aspects and would like to support funding for the Naturopathic college and the Oregon College of Oreintal Medicine to do this research in conjunction with Medical Doctors leaning towards alternative medicines. There have been advances already in Europe showing progress in preventing a number of illnesses so lets do it here. Portland is a meca of alternative healing lets join that crowd and raise our level of exceptance by more Oregonians.

It would also put another level of security on our meds to have the religious backing recognized. Lets see what kind of interest this thread gets. If your interested in further info on the developements or want to help pm me.

Very good question.

You should check out Rogers website of Hawaii church of THC he has lots of info on his incounters and where its at now. Basically they leave him alone bottom line.

Now he has been taking on lots of new missions through out the US. Ohio has over 100 missions and each has a grow going. Law enforcment is leaving them alone. It opened in Kentucky just a few years ago and the authorities there have taken them to court. We are still waiting on a ruling on that from the Supreme court. With the Brazilian church winning DMT use, I don't see how THC wouldn't but will see.

Think about it, tiding your non-denominational church and getting herbal sacraments to enjoy!! It would still only be medical cardholders here in Oregon that would receive the benefits.

"THC Ministries & Healing center"

There are Acupuncturists, Naturopaths, Yoga teachers, that want to help our community and donate some time to helping us heal that have voluntered to help in getting this going.

Hi, Shabad! I'm interested in the healing research aspects especially. And if I manage to get a grow going and get a steady supply of meds, I could probably take a very active part -- at least paperwork and/or phone calls. We'll see, huh?

Is it coincidence that I've been thinking of being ordained over the Internet? How does "Sister Marcella" sound? LOL!

Great ideas here. Take care, Gramps.

Warm hugs,
Marcy ^_^

And I'm planning on seeing Carol tomorrow, woo hoo! Afterwards I'll be dropping by Big Blue, sometime in the afternoon.

AWESOME..start the services with a condensed Tia chi to open the pathways adapting moves to accommodate wheel chairs and other hitches in our collective get-a-longs. with 3 southern Baptist preachers in my family growing up I shun organized religion as a rule but always thought a mix of eastern and American Indian was a must raising my brood and it has worked well. Love the earth and fear no hell. OOU..OOU!..maybe a sweat-lodge or not he he.

As a Wiccan Priest fully ordained I feel any religious movement that can show evidence of the use of mind altering substances in their practices absolutely should be challenging our so called freedom of religion. We can trace back the use of cannabis alone thousands of years fo medical and religious use for not only Wicca but Judaism and many more. I've been at many private Jewish Sedar's in which before the meal and during prayers thay passed around joints to bring themselves closer to God's will as well as their own. I believe this will be the next big breakthrough in the use of mind altering substances. Freedom of religion should mean that I want to be an Indian today and work on their forms of Shamanism and worship including mescaline and cannabis, shrooms etc. without fear of persecution.
Now mind you I am very serious about proper use for ceremonies compared to having an excuse for recreational use. I view mmj the same way. But it's time to stop writing letters on any issue. IT's time for civil disobediance and protests in the streets.

Right on Greenman, what is a sweat-lodge without a little herbal help even if it can't be peyote or can it ?...hummm For "savages" give me Chief Joseph over the Bushwacker anyday. May the ground rise to meet your feet on your journey through life and the sun ever warm on your face. CC
