Thought this may be of some interest to some of you. I did not know
that there is a state commission on pain. Anyone know what their take
on medical cannabis is?

Almost 70% of OMMP patients are in the program for pain. We need to make the Commission aware of how much the program helps us. This would be a great opportunity for us.

http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif I'll be there if someone has room in their car/van/truck/suv for my chair and me. It sounds like the more bodies the better. I can pay for part of the gas and maybe lunch too. Let's talk. PM me if you have the space.

There is no way for us to get over there.

Wondering if anyone can tell me if they hook up a cam? They do this for some of there meetings on the government scale. I will call tomorrow (the day of the meeting) to request this on DVD, I already get the diskettes of everything.... maybe I can get this?

Others who use the computer as there outside source can also get these diskettes. When they ask if you need a interpreter etc. Check the mark where it says diskette, if this is not there mark mark other then write diskette.....If the government would think on it, it is cheaper to put them on CD-r's then diskette......

Anyhoo thanks for the info....

Well I spoke to the lady there, very nice by the way!

Here is a link to what is going on as far as there meetings and what was said etc. I will be requesting a cam be set up for the future, or tape recordings. This is backed up by the disability act, so hopefully there will be no problem?

Anyhoo here is the link for those who can not get to the meeting. The lady said that tomorrows meeting will be up by next week or so.......

This is a new program within 4 years..... Since I have been dealing with pain now for over 20 years I wondered why I never herd of it before.......

Looks like there is a seat open on the Pain Management Commission for a patient or member of a patient advocacy group.
There is an interest form on their website.
