I keep hearing "bring my medical records". For most of my medical history, I have not revealed my mmj use to a doctor - It is illegal in my state. Also this info may have impacted my health insurance and my treatment. I have used mmj for anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. Also Prozac. The four therapists that I have seen for this do not take written notes. Also they have patient privacy not to reveal what is said in therapy. So I have no medical records that substantiate my use of mmj for conditions that Oregon does not validate.
After the raid on my house, I was quite anxious and went to my current internist for advice on increasing my Prozac since my other medication of choice was now confiscated by DEA. She does have notes on that call. I have gotten a copy of my medical records from this internist, but I do not think this will satisfy OMMA regulations.
I have used mmj for almost 40 years. I am have been planning to relocate to Oregon for the last 7 months, but I am still awaiting court decisions (trial is in early January). I truly prefer to have legal medical status. Any suggestions?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and please don't kill the messenger, but under the current OMMA, unless your current psychological issues cause one of the qualifying physical conditions the records that you have will be mute. Here is a link to the Oregon Medical Marijuana Programs Website
http://oregon.gov/DHS/ph/ommp/index.shtml and the list of qualifying conditions will be on there.
One major difference between our program and others is that currently the qualifying conditons are physialogical and not psychological. I hope this helps, and sorry about the spell check issues.

Can I establish medical records once I get to Oregon? I did not discuss my mmj use to my physician here due to legality.

if i were in your shoes, i would bring any recent med records you have with you to give to your new doc to review. this may/may not help establish a qualifying medical condition history. its always a good idea to keep med records regardless.
good luck,
