~Warm joyful wishes~

OGF once upon a time had yoga and qi gong classes! Would you like those classes to resume?

It was a joy for me to lead those classes for our group because I knew how much everyone would benefit from them. Since I closed my restaurant where the last classes were held I have been wanting to resume the classes but had no place to do them. Now OGF is offering space at the building in the SE! Yahoooo OGF rocks!!!

In the effort to make this available to as many as possible we are doing this poll to see what evening will work best.

A bit about my background;

I started doing "Hatha Yoga" 35 years ago with a teacher that inspired me to pursue more. Kundalini yoga has been part of my daily sadhana (pracitice), for over 29 years. During this time I have practiced many other styles to experience them but always keeping-up with my kundalini practice.

Qi Gong became part of my practice with my affiliation with "Oregon College of Oriental Medicine" about 15 years ago.

I am certified to teach: Kundalini Yoga, Soaring crane qi gong and Chinese essence qi gong

The classes that I will be teaching will bounce around these forms. I have taught all levels of experience and abilities so no matter if your confined to a wheelchair or perfectly fit it will be taylored for you.

Good ?

Thats pretty open too at the moment. My view is I don't want to turn anyone away cause it could do so much for so many of our members.

Thats how I feel but I also understand OGF has a bottom-line. If we are using the space we should help garuntee being able to use it by covering some cost.

My 1st idea for cost is this; $8 per class for none OGF members, $6 for members or $40 for 10 classes. I would like to dedicate $4 per person to OGF so these prices would allow that. Now I did start off by saying I don't wanna turn anyone away. Well not everyone has money but they could have some time they could contribute to OGF and that would cover their cost too! I am open to other suggestions and ideas.

Looking forward to resuming the classes.

http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif I'm in a wheelchair. Can I do yoga? Would it be necessary to get out of my chair? I can get out of my chair and get to the floor easily, it's the getting back into the chair from the floor that I have a real problem with.

Just got back from Las Vegas where my oldest son just got married!! Whewwww thats 1 wierd town! http://www.oregongreenfree.us/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif

Seems like Thursdays works for a good percentage of folks. I will be down at the OGF building tomorrow and get the next step done by confirming with Jim and John a start date. Which should be pretty darn soon from what they have said.

The question about wheelchair requirments; I will be leading the class based on the ability of the participants. You will not need to get out of the chair to participate.

I will post tomorrow after confirming things and also give more details on the classes.

Just getting back from a 5 day trip so I do see quite a few people have pm'd me and I will do my best to have all these answered tomorrow 2.
