The GRG mainly does the verifications that are totally done via cyberspace.

If you sent him an attachment of your OMMP card, or receipt from DHS and you Oregon ID/DL and paid using PayPal, this procedure can be done in as little as a few minutes depending when he logs on to the GRG email. If every thing on your end has been done properly.... sent docs (OMMP Card & OR ID) and made payment via PayPal.

If you have done any of the process at Big Blue either by fax or in person, the rest of the process has to be done their also.

Sometimes the email that is used on your PayPal account does not match the one you register on the site with, if that is the case remember to include it when you email him and also include your screen name too....

Processing done that is split, between email to GRG, fax to Big Blue or Payments mailed in always take a considerable amount of time longer.
Never worry though because your membership is alway pro-rated in your favor.

If you have activated a paypal account or done it twice by mistake or decide you no longer want to be a paid verified member only you can cancel your subscription and you must return to paypal and do that.

OGF is not allowed by PayPay to activate or deactivate a persons account.
We can however issue a refund if an error has been made.

Sorry the process does not work that way. THere are 3 levels

newbie as you register and await conformation - this happens automaticlly
through the web and the registering person answering the auto respond email that is sent,

Member - no charge but proof of Oregon residency is required, more flexibility and access to non-medicine related areas.

Fully verified, gets full access and access to opt in areas - only those who
prove residency, registration with DHS/OMMP and submit fee are allowed
totally different secure world for the Card Holder of the Program.

Educationally for the needs of an intersed party concern about getting on the OMMP, membership is sufficient.

For the needs of a Cardholder of the program, verified is the place to be.

It generally takes longer to process when done in person at Big Blue unless

It can take anywhere from a few hours to over a week depending on how properly and together everything was sent. Don't worry about your membership time because they all get prorated to the date you receive access....

I faxed in my OMMP card and ODL (along with my newbie member name) a couple days ago. Curious if it was received, or if there was some transmission problem.

Also emailed that query to greenroomguy's email address, but haven't heard back yet.

How long should this process take? I'm anxious to get my payment in and try to find some assistance for my chronically ill sister. She's really hurting.

I don't know what ODS is? but here's the requirements for verified status here. You do need to press the payment button for paypal to pay membership fees.

It should be stated in the upper section too.
The paypal is just below the info there.

Don't wait for any return on whether or not your docs have been recieved if
you haven't made the payment and if you have made the payment and you
think you may have been missed just send a copy of your PayPal Transaction
# or other method of the payment.....

Hi Madfingers. I am a new member and a new OMMP. I submitted all 3 items for Verified Member status yesterday...paid the $60 membership fee via PAYPAL, e-mailed copy of ODL, and copy of DHS stamped paperwork to greenguy. Is there some way of finding out if it's been recieved, and how long Verification will take?

O.K. I emailed scans of my ODL and OMMP cards and included my screen name in the body of the email... I payed through PayPal... however the email I use for PayPal does not match the email I am using for my account here... I did not even think about putting my screen name in the PayPal message... sigh... I thought I did everything right :rolleyes: And to make matters worse the email that I use for PayPal DOES match another newbie account I had here but I forgot the screen name and password for that one so I created another account with a new email (as the system would not let me use the same email) and a new screen name (the Sweetleaf one i am using now) so I am concerned that the payment to PayPal will be applied to the wrong account? :confused:

Also when sending the scans I used the PayPal email as well as it is my main email addy... I hope I did not mess up the process. :(

So after reading through this thread I sent another email using the email addy linked to Sweetleaf and included the PayPal Subscription Name and Subscription Number as well as the scans. This will clear things up IF there is a problem? THX!!

I sent my scanned ODL and Patient card a week ago, and have made a monthly $5 payment since, but I've heard nothing about anything. I'm still a newbie. Is there a special explanation for this? Is the GRG not around right now?

Well, apparently somewhere in that week I was upgraded to member status, but had no idea. I guess the ball's rolling now that I've sent payment, but since there's ostensibly next to no difference between the functionality newbies and members, a quick "hey, you're an oregonian, got it" would have been nice. *grumble*

Not normally this grumpy, my tolerance is a little high and I don't have the supply to smooth my edges out on a regular basis. I'm living on a diet of strictly neurological benefits without the nice psychological ones. Then my wife wants to drag me on an all day shopping trip with her best friend, and intoleranct anti-weed girl. I have severe tourettes and can't smoke because this girl is scared of the devil's lettuce. Plus, I'm broke and I know my wife is going to force me into buying something on credit. So I'm not going... and extra grumpy.
