I looked through the OMMP site and could only find the current rate of renewal ($100 or $20 for OHP patients).
Does anyone know if the renewal rate is going up or down Jan 08?
I just want to know if I can wait til January, or if I should pay my renewal in December.

dearest MdmPele :wub_anim:
The prices are the same as last year. $100 for a regular renewal or new application, or $20 for OHP participants.
ONE new addition to the OARS is that if you are a food stamp recipient you can use that as proof of LOW INCOME for the $20 rate.
This was worked on dilignently by the ACMM (Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana).
Love to see you (and all OMMP particpants) at the next meeting in December in Portland.
The subject of the TEENAGE plants and definitions is going to be coming up and I hope to see support from growers and patients that the current 12x12 rule is not good for our plants.

I'm up for renewal, and the OMMP web site still doesn't mention the reduced fee for food stamp recipients. Can you provide a link to where that is stated, Sequoiacrone?
Thank you!

the $20 fee for food stamp recipients is in the proposed rule changes discussed in this thread http://www.oregongreenfree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11956 there is a link to the PDF file of the proposed changes in that thread.

you must be on ohp or on ssi...
i just renewed my card this month, showed them my food card, and social security papers...and got the discount for low income but to get the $20.00. you need to be on ssi, or ohp. (oregon health plan)

Due to household situation, I don't qualify or food stamps either.
I'm due in January, and if it was due to go up in January, I was going to be sure to pay it in December.

i think you forgetting that there are 2 fees possible here, the 100/20 to the state, and weather or not you had your dr sign or used a clinic....if you used a clinic(compassion center, mamas, voter power, thcf), then they have there own drs fees for the signature...

so If you are saying a foodstamp recipient gets the OMMP registration fee
for 20.oo$ regardless of their disabled status?
Sorry I just want to ask this exact question and have the proper answer.
i thought they were undecided on that issue...? I remember a thread that was discussing the rule change.
thanks

If you have Medicare/food stamps it is $20 to the state. If you have to pay a doctor it is another cost. If you are disabled and that alone doesn't get you the discount. So simply, you get food stamps, you qualify foor the lower cost.
Good questions......also
report the cost to you case worker and they give you food stamps credit for having a medical expense. I don't know how they calculate it but you get more stamps. Hope this helped you/good luck

Regarding the fees for a doctors signature at a clinic...they do charge around $200. I love MAMA's clinic, and send folks to them at every chance. However, if you are renewing you really need to review the renewal application form. It specifically states that your primary doctor does not have to prescribe mmj, but simply has to acknowledge that the original symptoms still exist. This is VERY helpful for folks like my mother-in-law that have a doctor that will not prescribe mmj. I brought the form to him on our last visit and read the cover letter we received with our renewal packet. He was shaking his head no until I got to the part where he wasn't required to prescribe. When he realized all he was doing was verifying that she still has the chronic knee and back pain he agreed and signed.:p This saved us the $200 clinic visit. Again, I am a staunch supporter of MAMA's, and clinics like theirs, but money is tight.
